Giving Back to Santa Cruz: Alpha Psi at the Animal Shelter ♡

This quarter, the women of Alpha Psi had several meaningful opportunities to give back to the Santa Cruz community through volunteer work at the local animal shelter. From spending time with the animals to helping support the shelter environment, this experience reminded us how important community care and compassion truly are.

During our visits, our sisters helped make homemade dog treats, participated in gardening projects around the shelter, and spent time supporting the animals waiting for their forever homes. Whether it was preparing enrichment treats, helping clean outdoor spaces, or simply giving the animals extra love and attention, every moment felt rewarding and intentional.

One of the most special parts of the experience was getting to come together as a chapter while making a positive impact beyond campus. Service and sisterhood go hand in hand for Alpha Psi, and opportunities like these allow us to strengthen our bonds while supporting organizations that do so much for the community around us.

We are so grateful to the Santa Cruz Animal Shelter for welcoming our chapter and allowing us to contribute in ways both big and small. This experience was such a heartwarming reminder that even simple acts of kindness can make a difference.
